Peterborough and Cambridgeshire Services
We’re here to support children, young people and families, because we know that when you change a childhood, you change a life. We’d love to hear from you if you want to be part of making sure all children have somewhere they can belong, grow, and thrive.
Whether you’re just starting out in your career or have lots of workplace experience, you can choose from a variety of opportunities to build on your enthusiasm, strengths, and skills.
We are always looking for dedicated volunteers to support our services across Peterborough and South Fenland. Whether you can lend a hand at our early years sessions, provide some gardening assistance, help in the community cafes, help our admin team, support with our community fridge or pack Christmas gift bags, we’d love to hear from you.
Volunteering Roles:
Driver: We have the van, but we need someone to collect food from various locations so that we can distribute it free of charge at Barnardo’s Food Baskets. If this if of interest, please visit: Driver (Peterborough) | Barnardo's Volunteering
Community Development: We have various roles available from helping in one of our community cafes and helping distribute food at one of the Food Baskets, to helping us to maintain the grounds of our centres to make them look nice and inviting. For any of our community development positions go to: Community Development (Peterborough) | Barnardo's Volunteering
Children’s Activity Support: Whether it’s in one of our pre-schools or in the out of school club or in one of the early years sessions at one of our centres, you will be supporting our staff to support children and families with the learning and development of children aged 0-5 years old.
