Help if you're a child or young person
If you need to talk to someone about something that's happening or something you are worried about you can call Childline on 0800 1111. This is a free and confidential 24-hour helpline where you can talk about anything that's worrying you. ChildLine’s Confidentiality policy means you can speak to a counsellor in confidence about a range of different concerns.
If you need to find support following child sexual abuse, you can search the Centre of expertise on child sexual abuse (CSA Centre)’s directory of over 350 support services in England and Wales. Details are included for each support service so that you can get in touch quickly. For many of the support services listed, you can also see the sort of support they offer including in-person one-to-one therapy and counselling, helplines, and online chats. Importantly, it is completely confidential to access - no sign-up is required and none of your information is saved when you search for support.
